On August 25, 2025, the Singapore Renal Dialysis Equipment Supply & Demand Ecological Matchmaking Symposium was successfully held in Shanghai. The event was hosted by Stellar Biotech Co., Ltd. and co-organized by the Medical Device Supply Chain Branch of China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP).
Under the theme “Deepening the Singapore Market, Building a Global Expansion Ecosystem for Domestic Renal Dialysis Devices”, the forum provided in-depth analysis of market opportunities and regulatory advantages of Singapore as an international medical hub. It focused on optimizing the supply-demand ecosystem, offering targeted insights and practical solutions for domestic renal dialysis devices to break through bottlenecks in global expansion and enter international markets.

Assistant Director of Operations & Research Department, Medical Device Supply Chain Branch of CFLP, Chu Jiabao noted that the domestic dialysis device market boasts huge growth potential but also fierce competition, making overseas expansion a necessary strategy to ease growth bottlenecks. As a strategic hub in Southeast Asia, Singapore is one of the top choices for domestic dialysis devices going global.
It can also support multinational enterprises in R&D, registration, and manufacturing, empowering them to enter ASEAN, expand to Europe and the United States, and implement global market strategies.

Zheng Lixin

Chairman and President of Shenzhen Huayuan Regenerative Medicine Co., Ltd. Zheng Lixin shared his views on the layout of the kidney diagnosis industry. Emerging technologies and new business models are reshaping the industrial chain, including cell therapy, drug-device combination products, bio-kidneys, big data, AI, and cloud platforms.
He added that the development of AI algorithms and biosensors will accelerate the miniaturization of artificial kidneys, while implantable artificial kidneys must meet clinical requirements such as biocompatibility and functional reliability.

Wang Jiusheng

Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Nephrology and Dialysis Committee, China Non-Public Medical Institutions Association. Wang Jiusheng shared industry data on hemodialysis in non-public medical institutions, presenting a comprehensive overview of the sector’s current development, diagnosis and treatment capabilities, and management effectiveness, highlighting its strong service capacity.
He also pointed out challenges such as declining fees and cost pressures in dialysis centers, and proposed suggestions including establishing a reasonable pricing mechanism and forming consensus on “four monitoring indicators”.
